We want you to be satisfied with your terrible financial decision. This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds are available for products purchased on trashbaron.org.
1. Refund Eligibility by Product Tier

2. Digital Products (Peasant Trash Tier)
All sales of digital products are final. Because digital certificates are delivered immediately via email upon purchase, we cannot offer refunds for digital-only products. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You understood the product is a novelty digital certificate before purchasing.
- The product was described accurately on the Site.
- Delivery of the digital product began immediately upon purchase.
If you did not receive your digital certificate within 24 hours of purchase, contact us and we will re-send it or investigate the issue.
3. Physical Products (Trash Baron & Ocean Tycoon Tiers)
3.1 When We WILL Issue a Refund or Replacement
- Damaged in transit: Your item arrived broken, crushed, water-damaged, or otherwise physically damaged during shipping.
- Manufacturing defect: Printing errors, incorrect personalization, missing items, or material defects.
- Materially different from description: You received something substantially different from what was described on the product page (the tangible, physical components — not the satirical framing).
- Non-delivery: Your order was confirmed as shipped but never arrived, and tracking confirms it was lost.
3.2 When We Will NOT Issue a Refund
- Buyer's remorse or change of mind. You knew what you were buying.
- Dissatisfaction with the satirical/novelty nature of the product. The entire website makes it clear this is a joke. An elaborate, beautifully designed joke.
- "I didn't realize it wasn't real property." See Section 2 of our Terms of Service. Repeatedly. Out loud.
- Gift recipients who don't appreciate the humor. That's between you and them. We take no responsibility for awkward gift exchanges.
- Minor cosmetic variations in printed materials that do not materially affect the product.
- Shipping delays caused by carriers, customs, weather, or acts of nature (ironic, given the product).
4. How to Request a Refund
- Email us at support@trashbaron.org within 14 days of receiving your order.
- Include: Your order number, email address used at checkout, a description of the issue, and photos of the damage or defect (required for all physical product claims).
- We will respond within 3 business days with a resolution.
At our sole discretion, we will either:
- Ship a replacement at no cost to you; or
- Issue a full refund to the original payment method.
Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days of approval. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the credit.
5. Return of Physical Items
We generally do not require you to return damaged or defective items. If we do request a return in exceptional circumstances, we will provide a prepaid shipping label at our expense.
6. Chargebacks and Disputes
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. We are reasonable people (despite selling garbage deeds) and will work to resolve any legitimate issue quickly.
If you initiate a chargeback without first contacting us:
- We will contest the dispute with full documentation — including your order confirmation, the product description you agreed to, delivery/download confirmation, and these Terms.
- Fraudulent chargebacks (where the product was received as described and the buyer simply wants their money back) may be reported to the relevant authorities.
- Repeated fraudulent chargeback attempts may result in the buyer being banned from future purchases.
7. Cancellations
- Digital products: Cannot be cancelled after purchase (instant delivery).
- Physical products: If your order has not yet been sent to our fulfillment partner for production, you may cancel for a full refund by contacting us immediately after purchase. Once production has begun, cancellation is no longer possible.
